Solicitors

As a firm of fellow professionals, we are subject to many of the regulations and obligations that affect solicitor firms. This experience means that we can provide practical advice and support from an informed position.

  • Solicitor Accounts Rules
  • Completion of annual report to the Law Society
  • Preparation of annual financial accounts
  • Preparation of tax returns for both the partnership and the individual partners
  • A comprehensive payroll service
  • Retirement and succession planning
  • Tax advice

We can also provide you with information to help you better advise your clients.

Pension Sharing & Divorce

The government believes that more than 1 in 4 of all divorces will in the future involve pension sharing. Where pension sharing is being considered, solicitors will require specific professional advice on this complex topic. We are experienced and qualified in this area. Advice regarding a suitable plan to receive the pension credit and the most suitable ways to enhance assets that might be subject to a pensions debit will obviously be required. We are able to commission actuarial reports that offer amongst the most thorough, yet user-friendly divorce specific information available. What is the value of benefits excluded from the CETV? Are there alternatives? We are familiar with all aspects of dealing with solicitors and we are an Associate of the Divorce Corporation.

Trusts and Estates

Constant legislative changes, today’s litigious environment, case law and ever-changing Inland Revenue interpretations are all creating an increasing burden on our professions. Besides trying to deal with the myriad of compliance complexities in the minefield of Trusts and Estates are you spotting all the tax planning opportunities?

Ensure your clients benefit from all available tax savings

We can help you not just with completion of the appropriate tax forms and tax certificates for beneficiaries but we can also identify ways in which to minimise your client’s inheritance tax burden. Post death deeds of variation and judicious planning during the period of administration can save unnecessary tax being suffered by beneficiaries. Better still, significant tax can be saved by ensuring that the will is properly drafted and all relevant reliefs and exemptions have been maximised. Many of the professionals we advise simply enjoy the peace of mind in knowing that the complex business of completing tax returns and minimisation of tax liabilities is taken care of properly.
